A George III Mahogany Bachelor's Chest, late 18th century , the moulded top above a pull-out brushing slide with four oak-lined drawers below, on bracket feet 77cm by 49cm by 76cm The top section has some general scratches (some deep). One end panel has a patch repair (see photograph). The right-hand panel has a natural? gap, and also has a split. Later escutcheons and brasses. Previous escutcheon marks visible. The locks have been removed on the top three drawers. Some cock-beading has been replaced on the third drawer. Later elements to the bracket feet. Please see further images online.

Provenance: The Selected Contents of Eden Lacy, Lazonby, from the estate of Victor Gubbins Armchairs (striped fabric): Armchair One - the joints are loose and there is a split/repair visible to the back support. The upholstery on the striped seat is soiled/stained. Armchair Two - has some slight movement in joints and some slight fading and colour loss. The striped seat is soiled. Six Single Chairs - generally good condition throughout. The chairs are structurally sound. Some slight staining to the upholstery, but this is minor. Pair of Similar Chairs - some slight movement in the joints, but certainly useable. One chair has a patch repair to the top rail which is visible from the verso. The other chair has been repaired, with a dowel repair visible from the verso. Seats are reasonable. Please see further images online.

A Victorian Mahogany Four-Door Library Bookcase, 3rd quarter 19th century , the moulded cornice above moulded arched glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the base with four conforming moulded cupboard doors enclosing removable shelves, on a platform base 240cm by 55cm by 235cm Some fading, but fairly uniform. The right-hand corner is split (as photographed). There is a section of timber missing on the left-hand panel. There is some further fading to the side panels and numerous traces of paint, particularly around the sides. There are some further natural? small splits around the arched cupboard doors and around the middle moulded section. The bookcase does break down for removal - the base is one section, the upper section splits in half (the two glazed doors to each half) and then the pelmet/cornice is one piece. The canework is good and the cushion is in clean condition. The gilding on the framework and back support has some wear (as photographed). Stool – the silk top is stained (as photographed). The gilt work and ebonised paint is later, however, there are still numerous losses, particularly around the corners of the seat frame. Some old decay also visible to the underside. A George III Mahogany-Framed Hump-Back Sofa, late 18th century , recovered in beige velvet, with overstuffed arms and serpentine seat, on square fluted tapering forelegs 196cm by 62cm by 105cm The frame and legs are structurally sound. The upholstery varies in colour, with some fading and bleaching, mainly around the seat. The seat is very soft and lumpy. The legs/framework are poor in colour and the forelegs are heavily bruised.
